Common questions

How does Grenada citizenship by investment work?

Grenada’s citizenship by investment allows you to become a citizen of Grenada after making an eligible investment and meeting additional program criteria. The program offers a National Transformation Fund donation and real estate investment as investment options, with minimum investments starting at USD 235,000.

What is the minimum investment for Grenada citizenship?

The minimum investment for Grenada citizenship is USD 235,000. The investment is made as a non-refundable donation to the country’s National Transformation Fund, and it allows up to four applicants (principal applicant, spouse, and children) to apply for citizenship directly or first apply for permanent residency.

Does a Grenada passport give access to the US E-2 visa?

Yes. Holders of a Grenadian passport can be issued a U.S. E-2 visa, allowing them to invest in the country and stay for two years, extendable. Grenada is the only Caribbean country with a citizenship by investment program that has a treaty with the U.S. that allows its citizens to apply for the E-2 visa.

Does Grenada tax foreign income?

Grenada doesn’t tax individuals on foreign income. Individuals who are resident, ordinarily resident, or domiciled in the country only pay tax on the income derived in the country. Non-residents are liable for tax on income from Grenadian businesses or a withholding tax on other payments.
